The recorder is compatible with third-party smart home solutions, including Amazon Alexa® and Google Assistant®. You can use these services to take your security experience to the next level, with smart home options that make accessing your system even easier.

24.1 Link With Amazon Alexa®

Link your Lorex system connected to the Lorex Home app to your Amazon Alexa® device.

To link your Lorex Home app account to your Amazon Alexa® device:

Open your Amazon Alexa app and login.

Tap the More settings tab.

Tap Skills & Games.

Tap the search icon and enter Lorex Home.

Tap Lorex Home.

Tap ENABLE TO USE.

Tap Allow.

Tap Close.

Your Amazon Alexa® device will automatically discover your devices connected to the Lorex Home app. For instructions on enabling audio for voice assistance (only applicable to audio capable cameras), see 26.2 Enable Audio For Amazon Alexa® .

24.2 Link With Google Assistant®

Link your Lorex system connected to the Lorex Home app to your Google Assistant® device.

To link your Lorex Home app account to your Google Assistant® device:

Open your Google Home app and login.

From the Home screen, tap the + icon in the top left corner.

Tap Set up device.

Tap Works with Google.

Tap Search and enter Lorex Home, then tap the Lorex Home app.

Tap Continue.

Tap Authorize.

Your Lorex Home app account is now linked to your Google Assistant® device. For instructions on enabling audio for voice assistance (only applicable to audio capable cameras), see 26.3 Enable Audio for Google Assistant® .

To link accounts, you must first download the Lorex Home app, create an account, and connect your Lorex system to the app. For detailed instructions, refer to 23 Connecting Remotely Using the Lorex Home App .
